Fellowship Ministries

St. Mary's Seniors

The rich inner soil of this church cultivating the nutrients of love, traditions, grace and light to those all around them and to those who will follow in the years to come.

This group gathers around the table to enjoy friendship and laughter as well as share a delicious meal in harmony and peace.  Sometimes a speaker is invited to help enlighten our seniors about their safety, peace of mind and well-being. There is also a multigenerational aspect to this group by the presence of our young people who join us in serving the food and cleaning up.  All are truly welcome at these luncheons to "jump in the soil" and raise our heads together as we grow towards the light.

Meets: Every other month in the Great hall

Greeters Ministry

Greeting is a vital ministry. Many times this is the first impression for visitors as to whether St. Mary’s would be a good spiritual home. Our goal is to be warm and inviting, a good listener and to respond to the newcomers needs. Some people simply want to come in and be left alone, yet others may have questions concerning the service or what childcare is provided.

Great opportunity for both new and old member to serve. Simply greet everyone warmly, whether a new face or an existing member. The way someone is met and encouraged makes a huge difference in deciding to join St. Mary’s.

Welcome Bakers

The purpose of the bread baking program is to welcome a newcomer’s first visit by delivering a loaf of home-baked bread to them the week of their first visit. Along with the bread we include: a St. Mary's Bag, Magnet, Ministry Information Flyer, St. Mary’s Cookbook and a note inviting to return.

This warm & inviting gesture is often the determining factor in St. Mary’s becoming a permanent place of worship for a visitor.
