Worship Services

As a worshipping Christian community, we “recognize Christ in the Breaking of the Bread”; i.e. we celebrate on Sunday mornings the presence of the Risen Christ in our lives. Our service is called “Holy Eucharist (i.e. Thanksgiving)” or “Holy Communion” and all are welcome to share God’s Good News in Scripture, in Sermons, in song and celebration, and in Holy Communion. Each Sunday we gather to be strengthened on our various journeys through life.

Sunday Worship Times

8:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist Rite One (Rite Two Easter through Pentecost)

This is usually a spoken service.  As a church rich in liturgical history and resources, we frequently use what is called “Rite One”, with traditional language and also the Enriching Our Worship liturgy.

10:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist Rite Two with Music

This service is usually accompanied by music (sung) from the great Anglican tradition as well as traditional American religious music, Celtic music, folk and spiritual.  “Rite Two” and Enriching Our Worship are the liturgies used.  Preaching here is designed to communicate God’s “good news: in the teaching and life of Jesus Christ and the community baptized into his life and service. Third Sundays of the month we offer a Contemporary Service with guitar and keyboard.

Children's Worship is offered most Sundays upstairs in our Tarpley House room during the 10:00 a.m. service. This special worship, designed fro children aged 3 through 2nd grade, is a time to focus on God's love and how we worship God. Children join their families in the church as the Peace is exchanged.

Nursery available at the 10:00 a.m. service (9:00 a.m. in summer)

Sunday School is offered at 11:00 a.m.
