Worship Services

As a worshipping Christian community, we “recognize Christ in the Breaking of the Bread”; i.e. we celebrate on Sunday mornings the presence of the Risen Christ in our lives. Our service is called “Holy Eucharist (i.e. Thanksgiving)” or “Holy Communion” and all are welcome to share God’s Good News in Scripture, in Sermons, in song and celebration, and in Holy Communion. Each Sunday we gather to be strengthened on our various journeys through life.

We are a church rich in liturgical history and resources, and draw on several liturgies during the church year.  From September to May, we use the Episcopal Rite 2 liturgy and Enriching Our Worship.  During the summer, we incorporate elements from the New Zealand prayerbook into our service.

Sunday Worship Time

9:00 a.m. - Holy Eucharist Rite Two with Music

This service is usually accompanied by music (sung) from the great Anglican tradition as well as traditional American religious music, Celtic music, folk and spiritual.  “Rite Two” and Enriching Our Worship are the liturgies used.  Preaching here is designed to communicate God’s “good news: in the teaching and life of Jesus Christ and the community baptized into his life and service.

Typically on the Third Sunday of the month we offer a Contemporary Service with guitar and keyboard.  Once in a while this service will be held on a different Sunday.  The schedule us updated in the "coming soon' section of the website.
